API announced major changes in all API Exams with effective from December 2012 examination.

The main changes are:
- Exam duration reduced from 8 hours to 7 hours (4 hours for open book and 3 hours for closed book)
- Exam Score calculation method changed. (I feel it's critical change and to be hard to pass this exam) API said pre-test method, it means you have to answer total 150 questions but your score calculated based on 125 questions only (25 pretest question answers will not be considered) Don't think you have 25 choice questions.
- There is no indication which questions are pre-test questions. So there is a risk to lose your 25 correctly answered questions. (may be you answered correctly for pre-test questions but you answered wrongly for actual test questions).

In the effectivity sheet they mentioned proctor can confiscate illegal copies of code. Are they going to implement it in Asia?
ReplyDeleteYes, API rules and regulations are same to all. API revised the exam application also as per latest revision you have to indicate how you will get your code books? If you got from API authorized training center, you must write training center name. If you will use your company codes you should write company subscription number. If you are planed to buy, you will get 30% discount on normal price.
ReplyDeleteIf you are planned to write in December, my suggestion is don't take in December. Because may be API revise the new rules if the exam candidates reduced in high ratio.
If found with illegal copies, will the exminee be expelled/removed/ban during exam?
ReplyDeleteIf found that copies will be ceased. May be they allow you to continue exam if you are ready to write without code books.
